The Importance of Writing Down Your Goals

Because Writing Down Your Goals and Dreams Work

The importance of writing down your goals and your dreams is well, very important.

Good Evening Women of Excellence,

Goals and dreams, gifts and talents, skill sets and awesome abilities; we all have been equipped with some form of wealth.

I have had a really busy week managing my businesses. To be honest, I’ve been going full force since January and I have to say I am loving it because I get to share my wealth and rich reservoir of abundance with you and other Christian women entrepreneurs.

I must say that I have not been writing down all of my goals before going to bed every night. I’ve been working until 11:30 p.m. most nights which is why I have not been faithful as I once was in this important area of my life and business.

Writing Down Your Goals Make You Accountable

Why is it important for you to write down your goals? Writing down your goals make you accountable.

If your plan is to ensure that you get everything done to keep your business flourishing as you implement more and more of your brilliant ideas into your business, you will not want to miss or skip a beat.

There have been times when I’ve come up with something that I thought was absolutely brilliant only to move on to the next thought without ever having written all of that brilliance down, but I thank God for His Holy Spirit who resides me because He reminds me of some of the things that I may forget because I’m always working on something.

I realized today that I need to start writing down the things that I need to accomplish the next day to help keep me on track where my business goals are concerned. It really does make an enormous difference in keeping me focused in business.

What I Kept Telling Myself; Write Down Your Goals and Why You Should Too

For instance, today I had all of my goals nesting in my mind and I kept telling myself to write them down. I even had some of them in my kindle, but there is something about writing them down on 3×5 cards or in my note book that makes things flow easily and effortlessly for me. I was busy all week working on my new website and I kept telling myself, it is important for me to list my tasks and then work towards getting them accomplished after I had completed the website.

After adding all of my articles, posts, plugins and everything in between, yes, I use WordPress, I finally launched my website.

I love designing and creating my own websites because for me, it is highly therapeutic. I love to see what I can do with whatever them I decide to use.  WordPress is a challenge, but now that I have mastered it I enjoy using this amazing platform for website building. There is so much that you can do with WordPress.

Let me tell you the possibilities are endless. If you’re anything like me and you love challenging yourself, then I suggest you give WordPress a try. It may be a piece of cake for you. For me, it was pretty difficult to figure out or so I thought it was until I was able to understand how it all comes together and how it all just makes sense!

I also love graphic design. Self-taught, I get to use my creativity in a powerful way which is to thank God, praise Him while giving Him all the glory for my gifts and talents.

Get Your 3×5 Cards Out Now!

Your 3×5 cards are all about you. They have the story of your business written on them. Keep them visible and then keep them stored in a safe place. They will be your compass. Attach them to your business plan so that you can refer to them whenever you need to.

My Hope for You

It is my hope that you, too, are writing down your business goals and any other goals that you want to accomplish in your life as well as in your business.

Having a daily-to-do list in your life will help to make you accountable for your actions. Think of it as one of your best girlfriends who calls you to see if you’ve done this or if you’ve done that and if not, then when are you going to get to it, she asks. So go on and get those 3×5 cards out now and I mean right now. You’ll thank yourself the second you do.

For me, penning my goals is a must. Today, I began writing down my goals and tomorrow I will begin executing the plan that is attached to each goal with each one being relative to all my other tasks.

I am looking forward to working towards achieving all the tasks on my to do list. I am not going to rush through them, but I am going to enjoy attaining each one in an effort to bring value to others and that is one goal that will remain on my daily-to-do list as long as I am a Christian woman entrepreneur!

Giving God the Glory!

Cyndi
