Lessons I Have Learned

From Watching the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers

In one of my previous posts I talk about the NBA Finals.  I love the game of basketball and enjoying watching it almost as much as I enjoy playing, or at least at one time in my life.

Thinking about the Houston Rockets and their quest to make it to the Finals they fell short because of this one thing; they did not play team basketball the way that they should have which could have possibly landed them a spot and shot in the Finals.  I often observed James Harden dribbling the ball down court and showing the world his amazing dribbling through the legs and behind the back skills.  He is a great player, but all he wanted to do was shoot threes.  Driving to the basket would have probably helped them to score more points.  My thing was this; even though they made it to playoffs doing what they’ve done all season, they should have changed their strategy agreeing to play more team ball and drive to the basket more in the playoffs.  Anyway….

The Warriors, once again, with all their talent, have won three consecutive games leaving the Cavaliers wondering and asking themselves what can we do to win the championship.  Lebron James is the star of his team so his stats say, but he is just one person and simply cannot win basketball games on his own strength.  Sometimes in life and in business things just don’t go our way, but we press on believing that we can accomplish the goal at hand.

I have learned that team work is what helps us all to manifest our dreams and achieve our goals.  And so I applaud all of the players; even those who keep the bench warm.  It takes great talent, amazing minds and over all team work to win games.

I am thankful to learn this valuable powerful lesson.  Whose on your team? Are you winning?  If not, take a look at your team and think about changing things around in order to win at your next goal and you will always be a winner.

Because every woman needs a touch of inspiration.
