Best Places to Find Inspiration

Some people love routine. They’re perfectly happy getting up at the same time, doing the same things, eating the same foods, and working the same job, day in, day out. I guess it’s comforting to them.

Not me. I thrive on variety. Newness. Challenges. Getting out and about and making things happen. Starting a project and feeling that awesome sense of accomplishment when I get it done … right.

And that’s exactly why I hate this time of year. It’s the weather.

This is the start of northern California’s rainy season, and I’m an outdoors kind of guy. Whenever I can work outside, I do it. Coop me up inside for too long, I start to lose it. And the first thing to go is my inspiration. No, I don’t need sunshine to think, but enough days without it and my brain starts to develop its own sort of gloomy cloud system.

You know the feeling. Everyone has those moments when you feel like you’re stuck in quicksand: the harder you fight, the more it pulls you in.

It’s a problem for anyone who has to think for a living. Managers, executives, entrepreneurs, business owners, marketers, engineers, software developers – all knowledge workers need inspiration to innovate, come up with insightful ideas, solve complex problems, make tough decisions and excel at their jobs.

Over the decades, come rain or shine, I’ve always managed to find things that inspire me, ways to get my creative juices flowing again. Will they work for you? Beats me, but one thing’s for sure: They’ll never work if you don’t try them out.

Talk it out. Sure, there are times when things just come to you. It happens to me all the time, usually when I’m half asleep or in the shower. But when your brain just refuses to function, a little brainstorming can provide just the spark it needs to get going again. The truth is, some of my best ideas came during impromptu, thought-provoking chats.

Do drugs. No, not those kinds of drugs. I’m talking about caffeine. It’s an amazing stimulant. Whenever I need to do some real thinking, I go for the cappuccino. And when I need a big idea but I’m too wound up, I find a glass of wine or two in the evening helps my mind to relax and the ideas to flow. Not for everyone, but it really works for me.

Disconnect. If you’re looking for inspiration, the last thing you want to do is check your Twitter feed, your email, or anything else online. That’s just a bottomless pit of distraction and instant gratification. The same goes for video games, shopping and stress eating. Because it’s addictive, it feels good, even though you’re really not accomplishing a thing.

Take a walk. I’ve heard that doing something repetitive frees your mind. I don’t know if going for a walk or a hike qualifies, but for some reason, just getting out and about in the neighborhood or on a woodsy trail gets my synapses snapping like crazy. It even extends to walking meetings, believe it or not.

Start a long-term project. Start a project, something you’ve never done before that has nothing to do with work. I once spent an entire fall and winter season designing and building a large greenhouse in my spare time. And you know what? I’ve never been so productive at work.

Get your blood pumping. Once you get over the pain – or at least get used to it – going for a run, shooting hoops, anything really strenuous makes you feel like you’re on top of the world. It always helps me clarify my thoughts and put things in perspective. Little things that build up seem to evaporate when your pulse rate hits 120.

Commune with nature. Beautiful landscapes, mountains, flowers, majestic coastal redwood trees, rock formations, animals – anything born of nature – has a magical way of drawing you in and making you feel apart of something alive and wonderful. There’s a breathtaking view of evergreen mountains and a bougainvillea vine outside my office. The hummingbirds love it. Me too.

Practice mindfulness. No, this isn’t some New Age mumbo jumbo. It’s science, and it’s real. Mindfulness meditation can help you learn to live in the moment, deal with stress and gain perspective. It’s a great way to unblock your mind. A leader in the field is Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Check out his bestselling audio book, Wherever You Go There You Are.

Play with your kids. If you’ve got them and they’re the right age, I can’t think of anything more inspiring than seeing the world through the eyes of little kids. If not, play with your dog or cat. They love the attention and, you know what? So do you.

Above all, get to know yourself and be good to yourself. If you do, you’ll never hold yourself back or be your own worst enemy. Then all you’ve got to do is figure out how to change the weather.

No Money to Start a Business

No Worries; All You Need Is You!

Things to Do Today.  Start Your Own Business!

No Money To Start a Business

Okay so you are excited and pumped up and ready to start your own home based business.  And you realize that you have no money to start a business. That’s okay, because you don’t need any money to start your empire. All you need is you, your gifts and your great skill set.

You might be limited to a strict budget when you want to start a business, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have any options. It is possible to start a business with very little money, if you have the right combination of skills, work ethic and marketing know-how.

According to Chris Guillebeau, author of The $100 Startup, “To succeed in a business project, especially one you’re excited about, it helps to think carefully about all the skills you have that could be helpful to others and particularly about the combination of those skills.”

Follow these simple guidelines to start a business when you have little to no money. Learn how to make money today.

1. Make something.
Yes, making something does take an initial cost in supplies, but oftentimes, these products can be sold for many times over their actual cost. What you decide to make is up to you, but there are several places you can sell your handmade options online:

Abe’s Market deals in natural and organic goods, such as lotions, candles, granola, and more.

Etsy is one of the largest online markets for almost anything homemade, from jewelry to wooden toys for kids.

Bonanza is another growing handmade marketplace, similar to Etsy. According to PC World, it boasts over 10 million visits per month.

eBay is one of the biggest online ecommerce marketplaces in the world, and its streamlined store options, easy checkout through Paypal, and customizable listing options make it a great choice for selling items.

Many business owners sell their products on multiple platforms to get the most exposure possible. It is important, however, to make sure your inventory stays updated on all sites you have a storefront on. If you want to learn about more resources for selling homemade items, check out this Lifehacker post.

2. Resell something.
If you don’t want to make anything (or you don’t consider yourself a creative person), many business owners have grown large businesses just be reselling products that have already been made. This can be done through a variety of ways or channels:

Drop shipping: Set up an online store and partner with drop-shipping companies that will do all the order fulfillment for you. Online ecommerce platform Shopify has a great drop shipping guide, and Tim Ferriss does a good job of explaining drop shipping in his well-known book, The Four Hour Work Week.

Thrift stores and garage sales: If you know where to look, you can find items at thrift stores, antique shops, flea markets and garage sales and resell them online or in your local community for more than you purchased them for. One extremely successful example of this is Sophia Amoruso, the founder of Nasty Gal. Amoruso started buying and reselling vintage and unique fashion pieces on eBay, and her company has grown to a net income of $24 million in 2011 with over 200 employees. Her book, #GIRLBOSS, is in inspiring look into how she got started.

3. Sell your services.
One way to start a business with little to no startup capital is to sell your services, instead of a physical product. There’s a huge variety of services you can offer, depending on your background and interests.

Related: Starting a Business? When to Scrimp vs. Splurge.

Some will require advanced degrees, such as accounting, while others require little more than a working knowledge of how it’s done (such as babysitting, lawn mowing or personal assistance).

success, goals, dreams, aspirations, inspiration

Because you are selling your services, you will need a branding plan to make sure your name and company gets in front of the people who may need the service. Some places that are free for promoting your services include Fiverr, Craigslist, Elance, Taskrabbit and Skillshare.

It’s also useful to have a website to show examples of your work, list your experience, and blog about your industry to draw visitors. If you want to learn more about branding and online marketing, check out Buffer’s social-media blog, Hubspot’s blog, Content Marketing Institute and CopyPress.

4. Barter to get what you need.
Unfortunately, it’s extremely hard to start a business without any type of funds at all. Even creating a freelance-writing business utilizing Elance and a free WordPress or Wix website will still require a computer to work on as well as Internet. However, there are ways to get supplies you need for starting your business without money.

For instance, if you find yourself in need of a used laptop, try to barter for it. Build a new website for a used electronics supplier, or offer babysitting services to your neighbor for their old Macbook.

5. Utilize low-cost services.
As mentioned previously, you can use sites such as Fiverr or Elance to advertise your products and services on, but you can also use these platforms to build up your own company. For instance, many designers offer $5 to $25 logo designs (that come with free revisions). Sort by reviews and look at past examples to find a designer or service provider that matches your style.

This is a great way to get branding materials, printed items (Vistaprint and Zazzle are great places to buy personalized items), or other needed items without much cost. And for additional savings, be sure to look for coupon codes on sites such as RetailMeNot before checking out at any online retailer!

Starting a business requires ingenuity and a passion for what you are doing. Once you find yourself doing something you enjoy, you will be more likely to find ways to make it all come together.

How To Work Smarter (Not Harder) For Multi-Seven Figure Success

Riches, Wealth and Opulence Can Be Yours

How To Work Smarter (Not Harder) For Multi-Seven Figure SuccessSami Wunder is in the business of love. And business has never been better. Today, Wunder is a leading international dating and relationship coach for high achieving women and her company just had its first seven-figure quarter. That’s right, quarter. But when she started her business just five years ago, she was giving away free dating advice in her Facebook group and getting paid just $97 per client. Wunder was working twelve-hour days and responding to clients on her phone at 3am after breastfeeding her baby. “That was a hard phase,” admits Wunder, who says she felt like she was managing two start-ups at the time: her business and her baby. “Everyone thought my business was a side hobby and couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t pay more attention to my child instead and be content.”

To complicate matters even more, she wasn’t sure where to direct her business energy, so she was spreading herself thin. “I used to believe that as long as I was doing something—live streaming on Facebook, offering free advice to anyone who would tag me, posting on social media without a strategy—it would help my business grow,” says Wunder, who has helped more than 255 single clients get married and more than 300 partnered clients avoid divorce. “I was just throwing spaghetti at the wall. Now I realize I only need to focus on two specific things for my business to succeed.”

Despite her busy work schedule and her commitment to spending as much quality time with her husband and (now) two kids as possible, I was able to catch up with Wunder to get more details on those two specific things that led to her meteoric business growth.

Stephanie Burns: How did you decide to get into the business of love and romance?

Sami Wunder: By having my heart broken by a man who I thought was the one for me. After two months of intense dating, he told me I wasn’t right for him. I spent a weekend crying in bed and feeling angry at men. Then I dried my tears, acknowledged that my approach to relationships wasn’t working and decided to make a change. I ended up downloading dozens of relationship books off the internet and devouring them one-by-one. I took courses on self love. I realized that there was a lot of superficial dating advice out there, but I went deeper. I explored how our self-esteem is reflected in how we show up in our romantic relationships. I started embracing my feminine energy and leaning back in my dating encounters—letting the guy approach me—instead of harnessing my masculine energy and leaning in and pursuing men. I used to be so resistant to the idea but once I understood that embracing my feminine energy is actually powerful in love, it made the biggest difference for me. I attracted men who wanted to make an effort to be with me. Nine months later, I was engaged to my husband.

We moved to France when my husband got a high-level government position, which meant that I ended up leaving behind my career in the international development sector. I didn’t even speak French. I was sitting at home all day in tears wondering what profession to pursue that would enable me to have a positive impact on the lives of others when it hit me. I realized how many successful women could benefit from the relationships techniques I’d learned. So I decided to start a business teaching them.

Burns: What are the two things you focused on to grow your business?

Wunder: First, I had to invest in myself to develop coaching skills, because I didn’t want to speak from personal experience alone. I wanted to bring an expert perspective to my clientele and give them a professional service. I took more than $8,000 out of the bank—the majority of my savings—and invested in a coach training program. It was scary, but I knew I had to dive in with both feet to make this a real business. I also believed it was hypocritical to expect people to see the value of hiring a love coach without being able to invest money in my own coaching mentorship. Walking your talk is so important.

Next, I started showing up consistently, every day, on social media and spreading my message. I remember feeling stupid, like nobody was watching or listening. But if you try to avoid feeling uncomfortable as an entrepreneur, you’re going to delay your success for a long time. Finally, I started a Facebook group and invited my single college friends to join. It began with fourteen women, but within two weeks we had 200 members. I asked them if they’d pay $97 for a five-week program and 40 people signed up. My business was officially off the ground!

Burns: Your business has done exceptionally well. How were you able to grow so quickly—especially in a non-traditional field?

Wunder: Receiving coaching and mentorship played a huge role in my success. My mentors and coaches are the people who taught me how to sell my programs without feeling guilty, raise my prices to protect my private time and hire a stellar team that supports me in serving successful women in 50 countries across the globe. People think that you always have to shell out six figures for a good coach, but that’s not true. No matter what level you’re at, there is a level of support that you can access. For example, in my first year of business I spent $5k on six months of private coaching. As my business grew, so did the amount of money I spent on coaching, as did the caliber of the coach I obtained access to.

Burns: You talk about the importance of working smarter, not harder. How can entrepreneurs achieve that?

Wunder: You do have to do the work. There is no magic pill. But you don’t have to buy into the hustle or get obsessed with the hard-work energy. My company made so much money this year but I still woke up worrying about what I would post on social media today. That’s the hard-work energy I’m still trying to heal on some days. What helps is replacing this mindset with focusing on what really moves the needle in my business. For me those two things are getting phenomenal results for my clients who put their trust in me and getting the word out about my business so these women can find me.

When it comes to getting great client results, you have to have the courage to ask for feedback and the humility to use it to tweak your process. After someone has gone through your program or worked with you one-on-one, have them fill out a survey or email them some questions about how you can support them even better. Sometimes, no matter what you do, you can’t help a person. But most of the time, people will come back with constructive feedback and you need to have an open mind about it. Then tweak your process and make it better for the next client.

In terms of getting your message out, look to the media. As I was building my business, I spent time pitching myself to podcasts and newspapers to get the attention of high-achieving women who were struggling in their love lives. By my third year of business, I appeared in a national newspaper that dubbed me the “Get The Ring Coach” and my Instagram exploded overnight. I had 10,000 new followers and my inbox was overflowing with requests from other media outlets. It catapulted my business to another level. I had to raise my prices and hire more staff so we could help more people who started finding us through these channels.

Burns: Why are you so passionate about helping successful women find and keep love in their lives?

Wunder: I believe that love is the single most important thing in life. When you’re on your deathbed, you won’t think to yourself, “I wish I’d sent that newsletter” or “I wish I’d automated my evergreen webinar.” The moments that flash before your eyes are the ones where you felt seen, heard, loved and accepted. Those are the kinds of romantic relationships I help my clients have, especially strong and successful women who often mistakenly believe that they cannot have amazing love and amazing career success!

Today my Facebook feed is full of clients kissing men they love, getting married and having babies. I’ve worked with women who become mothers for the first time at 42 or walked down the aisle for the first time at 45. It means so much to me that there are all these people in the world being positively impacted by my work. I live for this feeling!

What Goes Into An Effective Sales Funnel?

She gets a funnel, he gets a funnel, you get a funnel! It may be no surprise that everybody is talking funnels these days.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the idea of a systemized process to get your buyers to take a certain action is by no means a new concept. In reality, a “funnel” is just a fancier term for getting your customer from point A to point Z. The only things we’ve refined and perfected as marketers are the modalities and steps we use that ultimately lead to better conversions.

Before diving into the steps, one should examine the overall objective of their funnel. Is it to upsell a client? Are you targeting repeat customers or brand new prospects? Do you want to lead them to your page to purchase a complementary product? Alternatively, is this the first intro they’ll receive to your business?

So, how do we give clients (and ourselves) foolproof funnels that convert for every type of customer along the buyer’s journey?

Start With The Problem Or Need

While we always follow best practices for funnel creation, we should first take a step back and ask: What does the client want first and foremost? In an ideal world, what is the precise outcome they are looking for? Once you have a clear picture of what they’re looking for, you’ll know what copy to include that speaks to their ideal outcome.

Next, examine every step of the buyer’s journey. I’m not talking about a plug-and-play buyer’s journey. Dive deep into different target markets (potential clients and customers for your client), and think about the thought processes, the hurdles and the pondering they may do before finally making a purchase.

The goal of this exercise is to decipher how each ad (or stage in your funnel) will affect them, both emotionally and psychologically.

There are many ways to optimize the perfect funnel built for conversions. Will your funnel include an eye-catching lead generation piece, a stunning landing page or an e-book and video sales letter (VSL) that really speaks to the audience and provides the value they’ve been dying to discover?

Let’s run through a solid five-stage funnel process and examples of content you might include with it:

1. Awareness Stage

First impressions are everything. Just as you want to go on a few dates before you put a ring on anyone’s finger, you’ll want to warm up new leads so they become familiar with your brand. Try pieces that really dive into the psychology of your target market’s problem or, similarly, tell a strong brand story.

2. Lead Generation

A strong lead generation piece usually acts as a teaser. Oftentimes it asks your potential customer to download a valuable piece of content where they have to share their email address. Aim for catchy headlines and “clickable” content. You might offer an e-book that lays out step-by-step action items to help coaches bring in new clients, for example.

3. Landing Page

A landing page is a specified page that includes a unique selling point (USP), hero image, benefits, social proof and, of course, a strong call to action. This piece is focused on one sole outcome: getting the prospect to take a specified action.

4. VSL

A video sales letter is a short “elevator pitch” that allows prospects to get to know the speaker and builds brand awareness and loyalty. Your video sales letter should include similar aspects of your landing page but can be done all through audio.

5. Thank You Page

A funnel wouldn’t be complete without a strong thank you or follow-up page. After all, the best way to receive brand loyalty is to let customers know how grateful you are after they have made a purchase. These items help you create repeat customers who will tell others about your brand.

Creating a complete funnel is no easy task. If you skimp over any of the steps, your customers will drop off like flies. Pay attention to the beginning stages, especially, as this is where your market research is done. Speak your target customers’ language. Be the solution to their problems. And lastly, guide them through a seamless sales process.

How To Generate More Financial Wealth

Using Your Creativity To Generate More Income

How To Generate More Financial Wealth

God’s Virtuous Women Entrepreneurs,

Thinking about how to create more income from your businesses for your life can be a real challenge.

I know because for such a long time I struggled like crazy trying to generate more income for my lovely family. All of my businesses had the potential to be highly lucrative and net me great profits, but I was unsure how to go about creating my financial wealth.

Lost and absolutely confused when it came to making a lot more money, I knew something had to change as quickly as possible.

Money, it seems, can be hard to get and sometimes even harder to keep, but here’s the thing; I knew I had the skill set and ability to make as much money as I wanted and even deserved, but it was not happening for me as I expected it to.

Even though money was and continues to come from sales from my website and social media platforms, I wanted a six to seven figure income. How was I going to accomplish this goal of making a whole lot more money, you might be asking.

There are tons of ways to make a tremendous amount of money. Doing things the traditional way when it comes to building a powerful business is good, but sometimes you have to do things a little differently if you really want to shake things up, in a great way, when it comes to working your business.

Would you like to know what I’ve done to get more money flowing into my empire?

Now is the time and this is the path, walk on it

How To Generate More Financial Wealth

First, I had to go to the Holy Spirit and ask for His help. He spoke to my heart, changed my mind and helped me to focus more on my business than ever before. He told me to be consistent and stay persistent.

He also told me to add more products to my business.  The more products that you have the more money you can make.

The Holy Spirit told me to renew my marketing strategies. I had an amazing marketing system in place and I needed to continually add to that system in order to stay successful. It is essential to have wonderful marketing strategies incorporated into your businesses.

So if you desire to be more successful than ever, use your extraordinary gifts, talents and skill set in a way that you have never used them before. Get excited and get creative!

The social media platform called Facebook to help you generate more financial wealth

Another way that you can generate more income is Facebook Ads. Ads, and more ads.

Facebook is one of the best platforms that you can use when it comes to business.

If you have a business page on Facebook I suggest that you utilize it to the fullest.  Learn how to work that page. Grab yourself a pen and pad and start writing your ads. Make sure they are relevant to your business.

Also, give your customers and potential customers detailed information about your products. Make them click that link. They will be glad they did because you have amazing, life-altering product(s) or service.

Enjoying the fruits of your labor begins with you. Wherever you are in business or if your business is not where you want it to be, think about all the things that you can do to make your business flourish.

Don’t be in a rush. Take your time and think. Get in a quiet place and think about the direction you want your business to flow into.

Please visit God’s Virtuous Women Entrepreneurs to learn more about how to generate more financial wealth.

To God Be All the Glory in Jesus’ Powerful name, Amen

Making Money as an Affiliate Marketer

How to Get Started Making Money as an Affiliate Marketer

Making Money as an Affiliate Marketer

Evan Weber, CEO
Author: Evan Weber, CEO | Filed Under Affiliate MarketingAffiliate Resources

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money online. There are affiliates who are making thousands per month by promoting other companies on their websites or through online advertising venues. But it can also be a nice way to generate additional income via your websites or blogs. Affiliate marketing is still growing and getting bigger as an industry every year as more people get into the game. There are definitely proven strategies to becoming a successful affiliate, which we will be bringing you in the near future.

The first step in becoming an affiliate is determining what product, company, or services to promote. There are some companies/niches who are easier to promote than others. Think about a topic you know about and enjoy already, therefore it will easier to create content and articles about it. Some examples of topics include: dating, dieting, electronics, costumes, parenting, sports, cell phones…topics like this. Once you have picked a topic, it’s time to determine who makes the product that might have an affiliate program for their site. Think of brand names and put “INSERT BRAND NAME HERE affiliate program” into Google to find “in-house” affiliate programs. Make sure that they have an affiliate program but do not yet sign up for it. You may want to go direct with a merchant if they have their own on-site affiliate program, otherwise you can go through a major affiliate network to access banners and links to promote a particular merchant. This is a personal choice, but you can get higher commissions by going directly to a company many times.

The second step involves having a website/blog and web hosting. There are many different web hosting companies on the Internet and most will provide an adequate space to launch your affiliate career. Your domain name should be related to the products that you are promoting. Do not use any brand names or product names within the domain name, as most companies don’t allow this. When you go to apply for the affiliate program they may reject you as well as file a complaint with your web host to recover the domain name. Setup a website that is related to the topic and place some type of content on it. Blogs are a great way to show you are serious about becoming an affiliate. Placing three to five blogs with related content on the website will make whoever is approving applications much more interested. But be realistic with how many sites or blogs you can comfortably maintain. There are also many free blog platforms like Blogger, WordPress, and other that you can host a free site on, so no money needs to be expended unless you want your own domain name.

The third step is submitting your application. Some affiliate programs are run by the company themselves while others will be on large networks known as affiliate networks. Some of the largest include Commission Junction, Link Share, Shareasale and Google Network. These affiliate networks provide the platform that is used to track all the clicks and sales that affiliates generate. Also, they have specially trained staff ready to answer your questions (if you can get them to respond!). When you fill out an application include your website, name and email address. Also, include a valid phone number. Some affiliate programs want to speak with you to ensure you understand their product and also to sent you important instructions before promoting their products. Most affiliate programs process their applications each and every business day. If you do not receive an email notifying you of their decision within three business days, call the company and respectfully inquire about the status of your application. Be proactive with your affiliate managers. Many companies use outsourced affiliate managers which specializing working with affiliates.

Step 4 is actually starting your promotions. Once you have a site or blog live and the affiliate banners installed, you can not start crafting content and articles on your site that talk generally about the niche. Many affiliates create coupon code websites that feature unique merchant descriptions which get into the organic search results and can bring in visitors. Adding tons of fresh content to your site/blog is definitely the way to go to get more pages into the search engines. One you publisher your new articles you can then “bookmark” them to sites like: Digg, delicious, and others which gets them more traffic as well. Also joining article directories like ezinearticles.com as an author can get your articles ranking quickly in Google. They let you link to your main site at the bottom of the article which can bring in visitors and inbound links. Like anything, you have to article production in heavy volume to attain a lot of organic traffic. There are also other great ways to promote as an affiliate which we will covering soon, so check back frequently…Thanks!

Don’t Be Afraid To Ask For The Sale

Don’t be afraid to ask for the sale is my new mantra! And a great successful mantra it is to have.

Being an entrepreneur means stepping out of your comfort zone and doing well, the uncomfortable.

What may feel uncomfortable to you is the very thing that is going to propel you into prosperity and success.

I want to share a short story with you if you don’t mind. It is a brief and to the point kind of story.

Some of you  may know that I founded Beauty and the Face, along with my other precious pearls. I love what I do and I enjoy passing my blessings on to others in endless ways.

When I started out talking about skincare, it was because I had this one minor skin problem that seem to blossom every month and I wanted to share my journey with the girls who lived on the side of my face without an invitation.

Beauty and the Face was birthed and I am hand whipping body butters that I and my customers adore.

Don’t Be Afraid To Ask For The Sale And I Asked For The Sale!

November and December are usually very busy for me due to the Christmas Season.

Even though I shop super early for my family’s Christmas gifts, I always find myself doing a million things to ensure that we all get to enjoy the Christmas season all year long. I enjoy it so much that I go above and beyond baking cookies, brownies and cakes so that my husband gets to enjoy his sweet treats all season long. It brings me much joy knowing that my boys’  stomachs are smiling.

This season I have been extra busy hand crafting O Shea butter creams for my customers. My new scents came out in the fall and then I introduced my Christmas scents with pride and joy.

When the first day of December came in I gladly presented my body butters to my Facebook friends and family and received about four large orders in multiples. In all the large orders that I receive I give a beautiful gift that I order from Macy’s every year since I’ve been in business. My customers love this special gift that sparkles and shines.

Gifting, I believe, should be a large part of any business. It sends a loving message to the customer that you truly appreciate their business. I am grateful when I get orders for my body butter creams no matter how small or large. There is a sense of gratefulness when orders pour in because I know that I am giving my customers a high quality product that makes their skin feel skinsational. This is extremely important to me.

Do you want to know how I was able to procure more sales for my Shea body butter business? You got it! I asked for the sale and I did it clothed with confidence and faith.

I said to myself, Cynthia, be super bold and ask for the sale.

It was then that I picked up the phone and sent text messages to those who have never tried my product and I asked them if they would order a 4 oz jar of love from me. Out of the five that I asked, four said yes. The task was effortless and I am thankful. The excitement that overcame me gave me the inspiration to ask for more sales. My heart is still singing and not so much because of the money that I made, but because my customers get to try an amazing skincare product that really does glow their fibers.

There was one friend who, when I asked for the sale, went all around the globe, just being real and honest, and came back, never answered, but continued her own conversation as if I had never asked her to make a purchase from my online store. I was disappointed, not that she didn’t buy the body butter cream from me, but for the mere fact that she never even answered my request.

I told myself I will not be asking her to purchase anything from me again. There’s a history there and I won’t go into the details, but I wanted you to know that even though you may know what the answer will be before you ask the question, don’t be afraid to ask for the sale because you probably already know that not everyone you ask is not going to buy from you.

And so I say that I am happy that I opened my mouth and asked for sales.

I am deeply thankful that I stepped off of my comfort path to ask for what I wanted. God’s word says you have not because you ask not. Now I don’t know if this verse of Scripture applies to every situation when it comes to business, but I do know that if I want something, I cannot be afraid to ask for what I want or desire.

Get your business out in the forefront and let the world know what you are doing. If you are selling a premium product and you’ve tested it yourself and it works a true miracle for you and you know that it has the potential to work for your customers, then tell them about it and then go ahead and ask for the sale…they will be glad you did when your product arrives.

No go and don’t be afraid to ask for the sale!

Be blessed,

Cynthia

Amazing Business Practices

Amazing business practices should be a large part of an excellent business plan and system.

Today and every day being the perfect time to get a lot of things done, I have taken advantage of every second that is available to me.

I have to tell you that I am loving every second of the time that has been gifted to me.

I think every second that I breathe is the right or perfect time to achieve my goals, one day at a time.

During the last five months I have been working and preparing new butter creams for my potential customers. I have also added to my present business plan and I want you to know that it is a concrete plan. I put this plan in place in 2016 along with a system that has proven to be highly successful for me. My business plan helps me to stay on track where all my business matters are concerned.

Amazing Business Practices, The Heart and Soul of A Successful Business

Loving all that I do and for the glory of God’s name of course, I have put together an array of body butter recipes and now I am happy to say that they are all ready for the fall and winter months. My ultimate goal is to provide my customers with the nutrients their skin craves. Because I have excessively dry skin, it was important that I create and design a powerhouse of a moisturizer that would work year round, not just for me, but mainly for my customers. I think I nailed it.

As my flagship Shea body butter cream continues to do well, I am in the process of looking into Shopify in an effort to grow my sales for my new skincare line, Lady Cynthia.

I am truly excited to introduce my new line of products because I want women and even men to have the healthiest skin possible. It’s something how my focus is always my customers and their true happiness. If my customers are not satisfied with my products, then I am not happy with my products.

If you offer a product, products or a special service it is important that you pour your heart and soul into your business.

Whether you are a business owner or you are in the process of starting your own business remember these tips:

  • Be true to yourself and you will be true to your customers.
  • Give as much value as you can to your customers.
  • Let your customers know that you are there for them should they need to call on you as long as it pertains to the offer you are making.
  • Don’t ever stop giving and you will never stop receiving.

Don’t forget that you have the power to get wealth and if you have the power to get wealth you will be rich all the days of your business.

You are the foundation of your business. Be of a good courage and there will be numerous ways for you to obtain wealth as long as you remain the awesome business women that you are!

Blessings for your business,

Cyndi

Do Not Be Dismayed

Trust God

Please do not be dismayed because the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. The time is now.

Creating and designing the life of your dreams can be an exciting. Building a business can also be exciting. Walking by faith not by sight can be difficult and a real challenge for some.

Fear can halt your steps preventing you from doing what you love. As a result fear has the ability to tie your hands behind your back with some pretty serious consequences. With faith in God you can tell fear to be cast into the sea never to overpower you again.

When you walk by faith you trust God to guide your every step.

It’s not always easy to do this, but it would be wise to implement this powerful principle, not only into your business, but in your life as well. Trusting God to constantly speak to your heart so that you never lose your way as you work to build your empire one layer at a time provides you with tools to build a strong foundation on which your business can stand for years to come.

Upon the completion of your business details, from writing your business plan to designing your marketing materials, it is vital that certain principles be interwoven into the fabric of your business to ensure that it flourishes on a consistent basis for months and years to come.

When journeying through the ins and outs of business do not be dismayed. God’s right hand is the power that will take you from one goal to the next into a world of abundance. You see God wants you to prosper and be in abundance. He wants you to be in abundance in wisdom, knowledge and where your finances are concerned. It doesn’t stop there.

Our Father wants you to have everything you need and He gives you richly all things to enjoy. Being surrounded by abundance you feel abundant. When you feel abundant you welcome in prosperity, overflowing riches and great wealth. It becomes the never ending story you get to write in your journal to be your compass as you work your business.

Penning your goals and successes opens the door to abundant opportunities.

Your mind shifts and your life changes. As a result, you get to witness eye opening experiences you never would had you not opened your mind to receive all that God has awaiting you. God bestows these blessings upon you little by little. Write them down.

Oh taste and see that the Lord is good. When God shows you His love receive it with a heart of thanksgiving. One at a time you can take it and learn from the things that God wants to reveal to you. Like flowers that bloom in spring or like leaves that change color during autumn season these blessings are enormous. It doesn’t matter how small they may seem they are humongous.

God does great works and His greatness is unsearchable. Receive the things He wants you to know and He will pour out  His blessings upon you with clear understanding. You may not understand everything at first, but keep trusting God and you will come to know and see all that God has for you a little at a time. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. And listen, all you really need to know is that God truly loves and cares about you. I think that’s all the understanding any of us needs. To God be all the glory.

Life can be filled with a myriad of lessons that have the amazing ability to change our lives. I often think about things that have transpired in my life and I simply say thank You Lord.

Here’s a short story I’d like to share with you.

My son texted me late Saturday night. I was sound asleep so I did not see the text until the next morning. When God woke me up the next day I saw Todd’s message.

A few minutes later my son called and asked if I had heard the news about Chadwick Boseman. I said no. He then said he died. My heart broke all over again almost the same way it broke when my cousin Kobe died. I was in shock when I heard the news.

When I went on Facebook I knew what I was going to see. Yes, Mr. Boseman’s face posted everywhere. I expected to see his face, hear about his work, his career and his private life. This is what usually happens whenever a celebrity passes away.

When I saw Chadwick on the View earlier this year I didn’t get the vibe that he was your typical celebrity. His demeanor and the way he answered the questions that were posed to him told me that he was just a kind spirit with a loving soul. And the way that he looked at the ladies at the table spoke volumes about him.

The look in his eyes said a lot about the kind of personality he carried with him everywhere he went. I loved that about him. I could clearly see that he was true or at least in my mind he was.

When we hear stories like the passing of celebrities, loved ones or those close to us, we tend to say things like, “live life to the fullest because tomorrow is not promised.”  And should we find ourselves in a torrential rainfall that blinds us to the point that we cannot see ourselves out of it,  we immediately call upon the name of Jesus.

Desperate to alter the hurt or pain we cry out asking Jesus to be attentive to our prayers to get us through whatever we are going through or dealing with. Jesus is always the answer. He is always with us at all times.

The point I’m trying to make is this. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord for He is good and His mercy endures forever. We need to be thanking God every second of the day for blessing us with life. And it should not stop there. We need to be in constant thank You prayers to God for His infinite abundance help, support, encouragement and all the abundant things that He lays at our feet each and everyday.

It is vital that we use our gifts for the glory of God’s name and use them to the fullest of our infinite potential.

We need to be glorifying the name of the Lord through our works and thanking Him for giving us the gifts that have the ability to execute the plan He has given us with complete instructions. We need to be shouting for joy for the Lord’s goodness. Living in a state of euphoria should be one of our goals knowing that we don’t have to be dismayed because the Lord is with us, helping us every second we breathe.

Listen ladies, if there is something pressing on your heart and mind and you know for a fact that God is calling you into His great light to do work for the glory of His name I would advise you to do it. Be obedient to the Lord.

Do not wait another minute to execute that brilliant plan that God has laid on the table of your heart. Let me ask you a question; what are you waiting for? Is something holding you back? If so, figure out what it is, solve and get moving. Do you know that you are empowered by the Holy Spirit? His power is amazing and He will give you everything you need to be super successful.

Do not be dismayed because God loves you

I don’t want you to keep procrastinating. Are you saying to yourself, “I’m afraid of what people might say or you are thinking don’t have any money. Well, let me tell you if God is calling your name He has every single thing you need. He’s opened the door patiently waiting for you to walk through it.

Don’t you think you’ve waited long enough to start that remarkable business? It’s time for you to let go of the negative mindset and replace it with positive thoughts such as, I am a wealthy woman and I love myself. I am a phenomenal woman of God. I am a river. I am prosperity riches and abundance. I am powerful and I am assets.

God has already equipped you with every tool and resource you need. These life-changing and business building commodities are going to help you to erect a rich foundation. One that is so strong and powerful that no man, wind nor rain can knock it down.

You have a lot of work to do so let’s get moving. You don’t have to be afraid and do not let your heart be afraid or troubled because God is with you with each layer you are laying. You only need to work on yourself to change your life and enjoy the fruits.

God planted the seeds in you a long time ago and He’s giving you the rain to grow your harvest along with the Son to grow and succeed. I don’t think it gets any better than this. The best thing you can do is obey God and as Dr. Charles Stanley says, leave all the consequences to Him.

Now go on and make up your mind to leap out in faith and change your life forever. Not only will you be changing your own life, but those who are searching for your services and/or products, they have a special treat coming their way because you, God’s Virtuous Women Entrepreneurs, are brilliant in business.

To God be the glory forever and ever. Use them Lord, use them in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen. Thank You, Lord, thank You.

Bless the Lord,

Cyndi
