When I became an entrepreneur I was excited to use my gifts for God’s glory.

I had the perfect plan, in my mind, that I penned to paper for my small business. I took the steps necessary to execute that plan with faith in God. I was confident that my plan would succeed and success would be imminent.

As I followed God’s plan for my business and as I prayed to God for direction, I started to see growth in my business. It was important for me to listen to God and to do what He was telling me to do. His instructions were always clear and I am thankful that He guides and guards my footsteps.

Having God in my business is the reason for my success. Even though things are evolving slowly with my small business, I must say that my entrepreneurial journey has been truly blessed. The great lessons that I have learned have taught me that I was meant to be an entrepreneur.

Also, being an entrepreneur has rained down an abundance of tremendous blessing. You see, I love what I do and the success that comes along with being a business owner is so sweet.

Embracing my business I give it my all and al each and every dayl. I am not always consistent, but I am always thankful.

Running a business is a constant thing and you have to be consistent. Consistency is the key to managing a business no matter how big or small that business may be.

Second, you need to show up every single for your business. In other words you have to be consistent. Consistency is the key that helps you to build momentum as you work to promote and manage your business.

You should be attentive to your business as though you were working a 9-5 for someone else. It is also important for you to have laser focus which means staying off the phone with family friends during regular business hours.

Let your friends know that your business is very important to you and that your time is precious and valuable. Just because you work for yourself doesn’t give you permission to talk on the phone during business hours.

Give yourself permission to invest in you and your business for you and your family.

In other words you need to be doing all the things necessary to experience and enjoy a highly successful and profitable business.

I have to say that I am deeply and sincerely grateful for all of the life-changing benefits that my small business has brought me. When I started BATF 12 years ago, I had no idea that it would be what it is now which is highly successful. Not because of money, but because I get to give, help and change lives.

My small business is really a big business and I am proud to own Beauty and the Face. It’s truly a gift from God.

Every time I whip up a jar of love, I give thanks to God for the sale and for the skin softening properties in each jar. My customers love my body creams.

Currently, I am in the process of making more phenomenal skin care products for my customers, both women and men.

Bringing Your Goals To Fruition Slowly

Bringing your goals to fruition slowly is an amazing journey every entrepreneur should incorporate into your business.

Realizing that I needed to slow down and focus on one goal at a time, I felt as though I had room enough to breathe without ever being stressed.

One thought at a time.

And now I take One thought. One action. One goal at a time.

There is never a need to rush through your daily list of goals.

Whatever doesn’t get done in one day will get moved to the next day. Are you okay with this because I am. It just works because you never want to feel pressured to get things done.

You don’t ever want to rush through any of your tasks for any reason unless you have a deadline for projects. It gives me a sense of calm and I love calm.

Years ago when I started out in business I thoroughly enjoyed seeing my dreams come to fruition.

I had one business that turned into another business. I was absolutely thrilled how God was blessing the works of my hands.

And Now I Abound in Abundance. Not just in terms of money, but in other ways

The more inspired action I took the more ideas flowed to me. My creativity was through the roof and I was utilizing all the tools and resources that were placed before me.

As I began to flourish my mind was racing and my plate was overflowing.

To say my plate was full was an understatement. I was trying to do a gazillion things all at once and I began to suffer. I was desperately trying to fit pieces into a puzzle that were not meant to be in the puzzle.

I was reinventing the wheel over and over again. I was wearing myself out in an effort to build an empire that already had everything it needed. The thoughts swirling around in my head led me to a path of total confusion. Does this sound familiar to you?

Furthermore, my businesses were beginning to suffer. Talk about lost.

Finally, after trying to slow down my mind from racing like crazy, I told myself to deepen my faith in God.

Whenever I have bright bold moments it’s because Holy Spirit speaks to me. He gives me clarity.

When finally slowing down I heard Him say one thought, one action, one goal at a time. Be not desperate for anything.

Heeding His wise counsel, I have learned to slow down and just be at peace. It works wonders in my business affairs and I want you to do the same. You’ll be glad you did.

I am over the moon because I love me some Christmas. Guess what ladies, I celebrate Christmas in my heart every day.

Even though I have never participated in this brilliant yearly celebration, I think it works for those who love Christmas. You can find some great items on sale. QVC offers 5 easy payments on a lot of their products and I always find myself shopping for the actual Christmas season.

Along the way I have learned a myriad of lessons. One being that being boss lady over my own business has blessed me in countless ways.

Christmas in July is a time to celebrate

When I launched Beauty and the Face in 2013 I had to put my business on hold because I had to take care of my mother. I was told she had six months to live when I brought her home from rehab to live with me. Well, she lived for five years and I’m so grateful that she did. I cared for her here in my home and I put BATF on hold while I gave my mother my full and complete attention. I was happy to do so.

And now my body butter business is booming. Sales are up and I am super elated. My hair butter is selling well and growing hair of those who have placed orders.

Am I excited because my income is growing? I am excited because my skin care products are blessing my customers. You see, for me creating and formulating products that work is important to me. My moisturizers soften smooth and soothe skin and my hair butter helps women to achieve healthier hair.

As orders flow in I have to fulfill them as quickly as possible which is to say that I haven’t had a chance to think about having Christmas in July sales, although my face serum was on sale for a month.

And now I’m in the midst of preparing for fall and winter. You know it’s never too early to prepare for greatness. You should be doing the same thing.

Entrepreneurship is a blessing. Having been gifted by God with some of the most awesome gifts in the world it is important that we use these gifts for God’s glory.

As an entrepreneur I’m constantly trying to figure out ways to be a blessing to other entrepreneurs. Whether it’s females or males I feel the need to share and pass on my blessings to others from God the Father.

Giving is powerful as it has the ability to make an enormous impact in the life of the giver as well as the receiver.

Furthermore, giving feels great. It feels amazing.

For me, giving is the right thing to do.

When giving comes naturally and we do it without complaining or fussing we give ourselves permission to receive even more of Gods abundant blessings.

Always remember God can do exceeding abundantly above all than we can imagine.

If you’re traveling on your own personalized entrepreneurial journey it is my sincerest prayer that you are giving to those who need your help.

Why I Stepped Out in Faith to Become an Entrepreneur

Stepping out in faith, something I had always been scared to do, I finally found the courage to take that first step towards my entrepreneurial journey. And in my mind, I knew I had this incredible power to do remarkable things, like changing people’s lives with the gifts God had given me.

When I made up mind to start my own business I realized that without faith in God nothing was going to happen. My first step would have been impossible for me to take if I had not clothed myself with faith. Also, there could be no way that I could ever leverage any of my businesses without faith in the Lord thy God. All of it when have been impossible.

The great thing about all of this though is that not only has my life shifted, but my mindset has taken me on a powerful journey in more ways than one. As a result I am truly enjoying the life loving lessons that have positioned me for greater.

Stepping Out In Faith To Do What I Was Called To Do Which Is To Be a Help To Others

Firstly, during the building of my businesses of which there are many and all that I love God has graciously deposited seeds into my garden. Upon watering these seeds I along with the guidance of the Holy Spirit have grown a bountiful harvest. This harvest, rich and plentiful, is the environment in which my mind lives thrives and abundantly flourishes.

Secondly When I started out in business I had a powerful system in place. I learned how to create my own marketing materials. I also learned the ins and outs of WordPress which in my opinion is one of the most complicated and amazing platforms on the planet. It was a difficult process, but one that I was willing and ready to master. I am glad I did.

WordPress has so much to offer in terms of helping you to build a professional blog or website. It has everything your business needs to help you to create a website masterpiece.

WordPress can do wonders for your business if you’re willing to put in and do the work. You can transform your business if it’s presently stuck in the miry clay. Once you master WordPress I think you will see that it has everything you need for the success of your business.

Thirdly I knew that if I was going to prosper any part of all of my business I had to read and learn as much about SEO as I could to drive traffic to my blogs and website.

Stepping Out in Faith Meant Trusting God Wholeheartedly

I also learned about affiliate marketing. Google Adsense was one of the first programs of many that caught my attention. I signed up for an account and it took me a little over a year to receive my first $100 check. The reason why it took me so long was because I wasn’t getting nearly enough traffic to my sites. This seems to be a problem many blogger and business owners have. No not one. It wasn’t until I had a few bright bulb moments that I finally had/have money coming in from my websites as well as from my products and ebooks.

If you’re struggling to start your very own entrepreneurial journey and you feel as though you have no faith in God, the first thing you should do is go to God in prayer. Pour out your heart to Him and tell Him what you are feeling and thinking. Trust me, He will guide your footsteps to where He wants you to go.

As an entrepreneur,  you are going to enjoy the lessons that have the great ability to prosper you as a female business owners.

Okay, so why are you seeing yourself as an entrepreneur, but have yet to start planning your business. The time is this second for you to get up and get moving. Your journey will be a great one, but only if you believe it and take inspired action.

Allow yourself to go places  you never knew about even if it is only in your mind for there is wisdom and understanding dwells and this is where change can take place.

Prayer is a powerful tool.

Praying to God morning, noon and night is one of the most important things that you can do before starting your day. Whether you are a Christian women entrepreneur or if you’re thinking about starting your own business prayer is going to prosper the works of your hands. It can also help you to launch a powerful empire with long lasting success.

I love to pray. Talking to God gives me a sense of calm and peace which is important to me.

When I pray to God I know that He hears me and He has my best interest at heart.

Having a prayer life is essential to success, riches, wealth, abundance and prosperity. Now, I am not talking about just money. Experiencing and enjoying much wealth, abundance and more comes from God gifting you wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Thank You, Father God. And then the money flows!

Your prayer life is vital to and for your entrepreneurial journey. As Christian women in business we must stay prayerful at all times.

Praying to God changes things. When you pray to God it opens up the line of communication between you and the Father. He speaks to your heart with whispering words that has the potential to change the way you do business.

Starting your own business is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself. It is blessing that will bless your life for as long as you are a business owner and beyond that.

If you have decided that you are going to become an entrepreneur, find your quiet place, which can be your heart, a room in your home or a closet go there each and every day and pray. Also, enter into God’s gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise.

After praying, write down your goals. Believe in your goals. You must have faith in God. Trust Him. Believe His purpose and plan for your life and you’re halfway there.

Pen Your Plans to Paper and Pray

Grab your pen and get some paper. Pray. Be thankful. Write down your marketing goals and your financial forecast. Don’t be afraid to think big and I mean big. Dream like you have never dreamed before. You’ve got to use your imagination to the fullest. And pray day and night. God is going to equip you with tools and resources. Go to God in prayer and ask Him for what you need also.  He can’t wait to hear from you.

Praying over your business each and every day is your guide to a powerful prayer life and successful business.

1. Lord, your word declares that you want me to succeed with the things I do, now Lord, I receive grace to do my part, to play my role in the journey to success, in Jesus name.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1:8)

2. Father, I commit my plans, my work and strategies for success (name them) into your hand, whatever is committed to you, you are able to keep. Lord, keep, preserve and bring to success the work of my hand, in Jesus name.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” (Proverbs 16:3, NIV)

3. Father, I know that worry destroys productivity, I pray that you help me to focus on plan and pursuits rather than anxiety, in Jesus name.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” (Philippians 4:13)

4. Lord, your word does not encourage laziness, therefore, I refuse to be lazy. I come against every form of laziness in my mind, soul and spirit, in the name of Jesus. I declare I am vibrant in spirit and active in mind and body.

“He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.” (Proverbs 10:4)

5. Father, I thank you for giving me a sound and balanced mind. I declare my mind is productive, my mind is teeming with breakthrough ideas that make for success, in Jesus name.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

6. Father, I understand that it is by wisdom that every enterprise is built, I pray for the spirit of wisdom to be operational and at work in me. I ask and I receive understanding and knowledge for inventions in Jesus name.

“Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” (Proverbs 24:3-4)

7. Lord, I pray for an understanding and discerning mind to be able to make sound judgment and take decisions that make for success, in Jesus name.

“And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:” (Isaiah 11:3)

8. Father, I pray also for strength; physical and mental to be able to pursue the visions, purposes and ideas you inspire in my heart. I rebuke weakness of the body and mind. I declare that I exude in physical and mental strength, in Jesus name.

“It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.” (Psalm 18:32)

9. Lord, I pray that you give me the opportunities for wise counsel and raise for me men and women of integrity with wise hearts to give me godly counsels, in Jesus name.

“Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. (Proverbs 15:22)

10. Father, I pray for the grace to stay humble, to wait and to learn in Jesus name. Let pride not have the better part of me, in Jesus name.

“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”

11. Lord, wealth and success come from you and the power to succeed also comes from you. I pray that the power to succeed be let loosed in me by your Spirit, in Jesus name. Breathe on me fresh ideas, new insights and new thoughts, in Jesus name.

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” (Deuteronomy 8:18)

12. Father, I pray for grace to work and to labor on the goals and ideas you inspired in me until they all come through to success, in Jesus name.

“In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.” (Proverbs 14:23)
