Women Entrepreneurs

Doing Business God’s Way Is The Pathway To Great Lasting Success!

Women entrepreneursGood Day God’s Virtuous Women Entrepreneurs,

You know I have a story to share and tell. It seems I always have a story to share with you because I love to give you inspiration to prayerfully encourage you!

It’s Thursday, April 11, 2019, and I am grateful, so sincerely thankful to be here. Appreciative of and for all the things that God has given me and for the abundant things He graciously bestows upon me which is the power to create wealth and to use my creativity and skill set to prosper me and you. Yes, I’m taking you on the journey with me.

As I was thinking about what to post this morning in my Facebook Group, Girlfriends Glorifying God, I didn’t have to think but for a nano second because the Holy Spirit said FAITHFUL.  Yes, He spoke faithful directly into my heart, like insulation that gets poured into a house to give it warmth, He simply said FAITHFUL.

Women entrepreneursAll this week I have been doing a lot of research for my businesses. I’ve slowed down in terms of selling my body butters because I am preparing for Mother’s Day. I have begun assembling my gift boxes for Mother’s Day this week so that when the time comes all I have to do is bag them up and hand them over or ship them out to my customers. I’m not a last-minute person and in business I am the same way.

As a female entrepreneur, I like to think that I think smarter simply by using my wisdom, knowledge and all of the understanding that I have when it comes to building my business.

I have always believed that women entrepreneurs are the heartbeat of the world. We have a nurturing spirit and we have been blessed to do some amazing things. It’s who we are. Women entrepreneurs can do anything and I mean anything. This is evident in some of the female bloggers blogs who have published their work out in the world wide web. Some of the blogs that I have seen are phenomenal; from the words to the photographs, women are changing the world through their own personalized blogs. I think every woman should have a blog. I know I have a few and I love writing for them. Speaking from the heart to share your life’s journey is an awesome way to start a blog. Ok…I’m getting off course here. Let’s get back to the sharing!

Women entrepreneursI have designed some of the most beautiful gift boxes for Mother’s Day and I am excited for my customers to see them so that they can wow whomever they choose to give their gift box to.

So I was researching because I am looking for a graphic designer to create some new things for my body butter brand. Of course, I asked the Holy Spirit to put someone in my path who could do the designing for me and this morning I received an email from MOO (the business card company; they have the highest quality business cards I have ever felt in my hands; a bit pricey, but are you kidding me, wellllll worth it!) I won’t use anyone but them.

As I was saying, I received an email from MOO and prayerfully, I have found the graphic designer who can help me to turn my vision into a tangible work of art. I am excited because I really believe that this email came straight from the Holy Spirit. He always, and I mean always answers my petitions. I am so thankful and blessed.

And so it is, that FAITHFUL came to me because of how FAITHFUL God is to me and you.

Women entrepreneursTell me, how are you coming along in your business. I’d love to hear from you. Please send me an email and give me an update on how you are doing in your business. Perhaps you haven’t started a business, but are in the planning stages of doing so. If you need my help in anyway, I’d love for you to email and tell me where you may be in need of some help. I’ll help you wherever I can be a blessing.

Have a great day and don’t forget to praise God from Whom all blessings consistently, continually and constantly flow.

Giving God Thanks

For The Abundant Things in my Life!

I give God thanksI Am Beyond Grateful To God for My Bath and Body Shea Butter Skincare Products

For the abundant things in my life, I give God thanks!

Elated to be my own boss, my creativity is one of the countless blessings from God I highly cherish.

Every day I get to use my gifts and skill set to bless others and to give God glory.

I give God thanks for allowing me to use my knowledge and the growth of my wisdom in an empowering way.  And when He clothes me with understanding I explode my businesses, soaring to a place of success I love. You see, when this happens my blessings means blessings for others and I love that I get to spread my blessings out into the world.

When I started Beauty and the Face my focus was to formulate a body butter that would glow the skin of all who used it. My first year in business I made about $2,000 for the entire year. Unacceptable, I vowed to do something different. I am always thinking about how I can do things differently in an over saturated market.

I give God thanks

When I started BATF, Love for the Skin bath and body products, my only thoughts were making customers a little more than happy. When 2019 ushered in, I took on a completely new mindset called focus. I told myself that I was going to focus on this one business like never before and I am doing that.

I wrote out a new plan, new quotes, I ordered new jars, I am adding a few new products that I cannot wait to reveal and new incredible jars! Can you read the excitement in my voice.

Bath and body

With my superior shea butter recipe, my body butter is a mix of organic butters and luxury essential oils. Blended together, I offer my customers a powerful shea body butter that is ultra rich and highly moisturizing. My skincare products are premium body butters that glow the skin which is the goal I reach for.

I am now in the process of designing my themed gift boxes for Mother’s Day. I have created my flyers and now I am just waiting to promote my sale for Moms’ special day.

I have written an attention grabbing message with attention grabbing marketing materials to attract even more customers. I am overjoyed to share my skincare products with the world.

Bath and Body

I say all of this to say that I could never be able to do this without God guiding and instructing me. I am giving God thanks for all of the abundant things in my life including this blog.

Giving God thanks for all of the abundant things in my life gives me more abundant things in my life. God has given me extreme favor and in His favor, He blesses me with a creative mind that has taken me on an awe-inspiring journey! I am loving every second of everything I am able and blessed to do.

I believe in my heart that I am able and capable of doing the impossible because with God’s Holy Spirit  all things are possible.

I give God thanks

And so it is that I take leaps and bounds by faith to do what I love to do every single day of my life. I have a passion for writing and designing. I also have a deep-seeded passion for helping others who see themselves as successful, but are not sure how to be the success that they envision through their dreams. Just follow me and do what I do. I like to think that I am an open door that can possibly help to lead you to your pathway of success.

I give God thanks for all of the abundant things in my life. I thank God for helping me to hopefully be a blessing to you.

To God be all the glory!

Why I Decided To Step Out of Fear

Why I Decided To Step Out of Fear and Why I Made The Smart Choice To Be Courageous and Bold!

Why I Decided To Step Out of Fear

Why I made the choice to be courageous and bold and use my gifts to start my own amazing life changing empire? I want to help change other women’s lives like I was able to change my own life.

As a child growing up in west Philadelphia I had the most phenomenal childhood with some fabulous people. These people would be become my family.

When I graduated from high school I found myself lost in a forest filled with tall trees and could not see nor find my way out. I lived this way longer than I want to even think about. Eventually, I found my way out of the maze that had me all bound up.

Why I Decided To Step Out of Fear

When I found my path my steps were stilled and I continued living in bondage gripped by fear. I didn’t realize it at the time. The only one thing I knew to be a fact; I had no faith in God, no confidence in myself and I was fearful of everything.

I was scared to try anything. Afraid to speak up for myself, which meant, and this is beyond crazy, that if someone said things to me out of their ignorance because they saw or thought they saw weakness in me I would respond with what I thought they wanted to hear and not that which was true or how I really felt. This is how I lived for most of my adult life.

I also had a major problem saying no to people whenever they asked me for things. I would say yes when my heart was saying no. I’ve lived my life according to other people’s feelings. I found myself caring for others much more than I cared for myself.

Why I Decided To Open My Eyes and Never Close Them Again

They reason I decided to open my eyes and never close them again is because I chose to trust God.

After becoming caregivers to both my parents, after being horrifically disrespected by my siblings and after my mother transitioned from my home in 2017, (my father had gone home in 2001), my eyes were opened and I decided to be true to myself for the rest of my. I decided to step out of fear.

Why I Decided To Step Out of Fear

I made up my mind to, one: encourage myself every day and two: run my businesses for amazing success. Well, my focus was on helping other women and if I help other women I’ll be helping myself in a profound way.

Being Encouraged Helped Change My Life

Here’s a brief story about being encouraged.

Growing up, I had no one to encourage me and because no one ever encouraged me in my life and because I had to learn certain things on my own, I can honestly say my life has been forever transformed.

Now it took time for things in my life to get better. And while  I’m still planting and growing seeds I am enjoying and embracing my journey.

Why I Decided To Step Out of Fear

There’s so much I have gleaned and I am sincerely grateful. One thing I can honestly say is that I have always tried to live a righteous life. Honesty is important to me. I am grateful and my intentions to help other women are real and pure.

I know what it’s like to be scared and unable to use what God has given us because fear steps in for whatever reason.

Trusting and having faith in God makes all the difference in the world. This is how I have been able to do what I do every day, but believe me when I tell you, it took time to deepen my faith because I didn’t know nor understand what faith meant. Once I learned the definition of faith I have been better and I no longer live in bondage.

I finally realized that fear did not belong in my life. Being fearful is a waste of time. That is when I decided to step out in faith, be courageous and bold and use all of the awesome gifts in addition to the reservoir of information God has bestowed upon me.  My life has never been the same. I cannot say this enough.

I dropped fear off at the wayside and I kept moving trying hard not to look back. Did I pick up fear again. Sure. Of course I did. A few times. Fear had been a part of my life for so long that I just couldn’t seem to forget or let fear go completely.

And then one day I told myself it’s time to focus really hard on all the things I wanted to accomplish and let fear and all it’s components go once and for all. I did it. I have an ebook all about how I let fear go to alter my life just in case you’re interested.

Why I Decided To Step Out of Fear

Since then I’ve been doing all kinds of life loving , life changing things for me myself and why. Why. Because I know I can. I know all things are possible with God.

That’s when I decided to pickup my writing once again. I have written a host of books for women all around the globe because my goal is to simply inspire, uplift and encourage women who may need to be encouraged.

One of my sincerest prayers is to beautifully transform the minds and lives of women so that they, too, can lives prosperous and opulent lifestyles. I thought to myself now is the time to share all that I had written. I know/knew it was and will bless women from all paths of life.

So I wrote Treasures Inside You, B.U.I.L.D and Cynthia G. Boyer.  You see for me being an entrepreneur isn’t about how much money I can make. For me it’s all about how many women and girls I can help, touch, warm and transform. I started so many blogs in my effort to achieve my goals. I was all over the map with my endeavors until God’s Holy Spirit spoke to my heart. He told me to organize my business decently and in order.  I did. Order is significant trust me when I tell you.

I took my time and with patience I’ve been able to build my websites and blogs placing them under the umbrellas to where they all belong.

Why I Decided To Step Out of Fear

I am overjoyed that I recognize all of my faults and shortcomings. I saw the need for change in myself. Believe it or not I was impacting my own life in such a negative major way.  I’ve learned some great things in my life after I made the choice to step out of fear.

On this awe-inspiring journey I have learned that I am phenomenal. Yes, I am. More importantly I have learned a lot about myself. I discovered, after a long exploration, that I am as powerful as can be. I not only have the power to get wealth, but I am wealth. I give away and share my wealth every chance I get.

I have learned that I am a creative being capable and able of doing all that is possible, of course with God’s hands and help.

I am in a completely different space in my life and there is light illuminating my every step which leads and guides me into the abundance and prosperity that have always been an enormous part of my life. These are all the reasons why I decided to step out of fear and into the life that I have been created to live.

I’m so thankful that I can see it all crystal clear and I live it every single day of my life. I give God all the glory.

Loving His plan and purpose for my life.

The Importance of Writing Down Your Goals

Because Writing Down Your Goals and Dreams Work

The importance of writing down your goals and your dreams is well, very important.

Good Evening Women of Excellence,

Goals and dreams, gifts and talents, skill sets and awesome abilities; we all have been equipped with some form of wealth.

I have had a really busy week managing my businesses. To be honest, I’ve been going full force since January and I have to say I am loving it because I get to share my wealth and rich reservoir of abundance with you and other Christian women entrepreneurs.

I must say that I have not been writing down all of my goals before going to bed every night. I’ve been working until 11:30 p.m. most nights which is why I have not been faithful as I once was in this important area of my life and business.

Writing Down Your Goals Make You Accountable

Why is it important for you to write down your goals? Writing down your goals make you accountable.

If your plan is to ensure that you get everything done to keep your business flourishing as you implement more and more of your brilliant ideas into your business, you will not want to miss or skip a beat.

There have been times when I’ve come up with something that I thought was absolutely brilliant only to move on to the next thought without ever having written all of that brilliance down, but I thank God for His Holy Spirit who resides me because He reminds me of some of the things that I may forget because I’m always working on something.

I realized today that I need to start writing down the things that I need to accomplish the next day to help keep me on track where my business goals are concerned. It really does make an enormous difference in keeping me focused in business.

What I Kept Telling Myself; Write Down Your Goals and Why You Should Too

For instance, today I had all of my goals nesting in my mind and I kept telling myself to write them down. I even had some of them in my kindle, but there is something about writing them down on 3×5 cards or in my note book that makes things flow easily and effortlessly for me. I was busy all week working on my new website and I kept telling myself, it is important for me to list my tasks and then work towards getting them accomplished after I had completed the website.

After adding all of my articles, posts, plugins and everything in between, yes, I use WordPress, I finally launched my website.

I love designing and creating my own websites because for me, it is highly therapeutic. I love to see what I can do with whatever them I decide to use.  WordPress is a challenge, but now that I have mastered it I enjoy using this amazing platform for website building. There is so much that you can do with WordPress.

Let me tell you the possibilities are endless. If you’re anything like me and you love challenging yourself, then I suggest you give WordPress a try. It may be a piece of cake for you. For me, it was pretty difficult to figure out or so I thought it was until I was able to understand how it all comes together and how it all just makes sense!

I also love graphic design. Self-taught, I get to use my creativity in a powerful way which is to thank God, praise Him while giving Him all the glory for my gifts and talents.

Get Your 3×5 Cards Out Now!

Your 3×5 cards are all about you. They have the story of your business written on them. Keep them visible and then keep them stored in a safe place. They will be your compass. Attach them to your business plan so that you can refer to them whenever you need to.

My Hope for You

It is my hope that you, too, are writing down your business goals and any other goals that you want to accomplish in your life as well as in your business.

Having a daily-to-do list in your life will help to make you accountable for your actions. Think of it as one of your best girlfriends who calls you to see if you’ve done this or if you’ve done that and if not, then when are you going to get to it, she asks. So go on and get those 3×5 cards out now and I mean right now. You’ll thank yourself the second you do.

For me, penning my goals is a must. Today, I began writing down my goals and tomorrow I will begin executing the plan that is attached to each goal with each one being relative to all my other tasks.

I am looking forward to working towards achieving all the tasks on my to do list. I am not going to rush through them, but I am going to enjoy attaining each one in an effort to bring value to others and that is one goal that will remain on my daily-to-do list as long as I am a Christian woman entrepreneur!

Giving God the Glory!

Ask God for Favor

And Enjoy Greater Prosperity

Could you use more favor in your life?

In case you hesitated when you answered that question, let me assure you: the correct answer is YES. 🙂 Carrying a mantle of favor is essential for all of us if we want God’s best for our lives.

What is favor?

According to Dictionary.com, “favor” is “something done or granted out of goodwill, rather than from justice or for remuneration; a kind act … friendly or well-disposed regard; goodwill … the state of being approved or held in regard … excessive kindness or unfair partiality; preferential treatment…” (emphasis mine).

When you have favor, people do things for you out of goodwill–not just as a reward for what you do. Favor brings you into approval rather than rejection or being forgotten. When God pours out His favor on you, it’s like He’s kissing you, His child–and His kiss remains on you for all to see.

Favor is the visible, evident kiss of God on your life, and it brings marvelous results.

Favor is something God drapes over you like a mantle, and it will change your life. When I started praying for favor, freaky things happened:

  • Opportunities started coming my way that had gone to other people in the past.
  • I started getting little bonuses at work that I rarely received before–bonuses that were completely separate from our normal pay structure.
  • People that I would ordinarily ask for advice started asking ME for advice.
  • This blog started growing more and more.
  • I began to have articles published in unexpected places.
  • New relationships began coming to me that I didn’t anticipate and didn’t try to make happen.
And I’m not the only one. Look at what happened when God gave favor to one Jewish girl named Esther:

Start-quoteThe king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti” (Esther 2:17).

Esther was an ordinary Jewish girl. She was stolen from her family and forced into the pagan king’s harem, forced to “try out” to be queen.

Think about that. It couldn’t have been anybody’s idea of a good time–especially not for a Jewish girl, who prized her religious upbringing and her purity. Yet the Lord gave her favor, and in one day she went from being a harem tryout to becoming queen of the Persian Empire.

And God will give you favor like that too. You definitely won’t be getting married to King Artaxerxes, but you can rule and reign in your own life. 🙂

So what will favor look like in YOUR life?

Favor is a game-changer:

  • Favor can elevate you from being invisible (and feeling forgotten) to being in command, overnight.
  • Favor brings you relationships with key people you would never otherwise know.
  • Favor brings you opportunities that are far over your head to get for yourself.
  • Favor brings you material blessings you don’t deserve. God simply heaps them on your head, because you have favor.
  • Favor will protect you when and if you mess up.

Having favor on your life means you walk around with all the tangible, demonstrable blessings that go with being a son or daughter of the Most High God. Things just WORK out for you. You’re blessed and keep getting more blessed. There’s a holy flow in your life, all because you have the favor of God.

And you can have favor with God and with people if you simply ask God for favor.

Check out what it says in Psalm 5:11-12:

Start-quoteBut let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You.
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield.”

If you have made Jesus Christ the Boss of your life, that means you’re righteous. You’re in right standing with God.

And if you’re in right standing with God through Jesus, God will surround you with favor as with a shield. Why? Because Jesus had favor, and we’re supposed to become just like Him. That means we need favor, favor, and more favor too.

Luke 2:52 tells us this:

Start-quoteAnd Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”

So are you ready to become more like Jesus and increase in life-changing favor? If so, pray this prayer with me:

Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ Name, I want to thank You for who You are and for everything You’ve done in my life. You have been so gracious and merciful to me. I didn’t deserve any of it, but You have saved me, healed me, provided for me, comforted me, encouraged me, called me, and adopted me as Your child.

So now, Father, in the Name of Jesus, I ask You for favor… EXTREME favor. Father, I ask You specifically for favor with        (insert names here)    . I ask You for favor in    (insert situations here)    and in every other circumstance I don’t even know about yet.

Father, I am not asking for favor because I deserve it. I know I don’t deserve it in my own natural flesh, but “my natural flesh” is not who I am anymore. You have made me Your child through Jesus Christ. So Father, I’m asking for favor because I belong to You.

Daddy God, Your Word says that You will bless the righteous and surround them with favor as with a shield. You said that I am the righteousness of God in Christ. Therefore, Father, I am standing on Your promise that You will also surround me with favor. I thank You, Father, that I have received, and You have given me the favor I’ve asked for.

And finally, Father, in the Name of Jesus, please teach me how to carry Your favor well. Help me always to walk worthy of the divine calling to which I have been called. Let my behavior be a credit to Your call on my life. And I ask that the favor You have given me would increase daily. Make me more like Jesus, who increased in wisdom, in strength, and in favor with God and man.

Thank You, Father, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

21 Ways to Achieve Wealth and Success

Prosperity and Abundance

In his book, Rich Habits — The Daily Success Habits of Wealthy Individuals, Tom Corley outlines several habits that distinguish the wealthy from the nonwealthy.

IamWoman-cgtboyer-4-sig

It got me to think, How many people operate on autopilot and don’t stop to monitor their everyday patterns? Below I’ve summarized 19 of his habits for success (nine culled from his book and the next 10 from his recent article in Success) plus two of my own. If you’re not actively engaged in these 21 things, you are, in effect, leaving money on the table.

1. Setting good daily habits.

Good habits are the foundation of wealth building. The difference between successful and unsuccessful people lies in their daily habits. Simply put, successful people have many good habits and few bad ones. If you understand that your bad habits may be preventing you from becoming wealthy, that realization will be the first step in your improving your circumstances.

In his book, Corley invites you to take out a sheet of paper and list your bad habits in one column and then invert each one to place under a new column for good habits. It should look like this:

Bad Habit/Good Habit

I watch too much TV. I limit myself to one hour of TV per day.

I don’t remember names. I write down names and remember them.

Then for 30 days, follow the guidance of your new good habits list. You’ll be amazed at how much you can accomplish.

2. Regularly creating goals.

Successful people are goal driven. They create goals all the time. They plan their day the night before with to-do lists.

People who are headed for success think for the long term. They have daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals. But what’s a goal without a plan to reach them? So not only do successful people have goals, they also come up with ways to achieve them and hold themselves accountable.

3. Engaging in self-improvement daily.

Successful people are always looking for ways to improve themselves. They read every day and are students of their profession. They don’t spend their time on activities that don’t bring them closer to their goals.

I recently attended an event hosted by author Brendon Burchard, who said he consistently blocks out time to create. Successful people like Burchard know that time is too valuable a commodity to waste. They spend their time on the things that will move the needle for them in their business: Being committed to self-improvement means you engage in activities every day that will stretch you.

Seek ways to expand your knowledge. This won’t always be easy, but people grow from things that pose a challenge. Once your knowledge grows, opportunities appear.

4. Regularly taking care of personal health.

Each and every day successful people make an effort to eat right and exercise. Eating right is of utmost importance. Exercising daily can become a regular habit, just like taking a bath. People who exercise routinely have more energy to get things done. How are you doing in this area?

5. Often making time for relationship building.

People who are successful are other-people focused. They take time out of their day to strengthen the bonds of friendship and form long-lasting relationships with others. Networking is something they do all the time. They reach out to their contacts and look for ways to help them with no expectation of in return.

The most beautiful sound on Earth, I once heard someone say, is your name. So make it a goal to learn the names of every contact you meet. Aren’t you impressed when someone remembers your name? I know I am. So stand out as different and start remembering names.

6. Doing things in moderation.

You live in a balanced way if you do activities in moderation. This means having a balanced approach to work, eating, exercise, consuming alcohol, watching television, surfing the Internet and so forth. As a result, people will enjoy your company. If people like being around you, then you will be more apt to collaborate or find the new business partner that you need to take your business to the next level.

7. Getting things done.

Don’t put off to tomorrow what you can do today: Accomplish things. All people have fears, but successful people push past them. They don’t procrastinate. They get the important things done, no matter the cost.

In Rich Habits, Corley explains that when the thought of putting off something enters the mind, immediately shed notion by saying, “Do it now.” He says repeat these words 100 times if necessary. Just don’t stop till the task is done.

8. Keeping a positive outlook.

Consider the most successful person you know. Is that person positive or negative? Most likely this individual is positive, enthusiastic, energetic and happy. This person chooses to see the good in others and in himself or herself. To this person, problems are just opportunities waiting to be uncovered.

Every day people are bombarded by news of bad deeds and doings. Successful people minimize their exposure to this type of thing and instead opt to fill their minds with positive ideas from books and magazines.

9. Regularly saving money.

According to Corley, successful individuals put away about 10 percent to 20 percent of their gross earnings in a savings, investment or retirement plan. Not everyone can afford to do so, but what percent are you putting away?

10. Rejecting self-limiting thoughts.

 Iamwomancyndiboyersig7

Successful people command their thoughts and emotions. As soon as bad thoughts intrude, they cast out anything that challenges their ability to succeed at the task at hand. They do not dwell on negative notions. Their self-talk is positive and not overly critical. They replace bad thoughts with good ones.

Because successful people engage in self-improvement daily and are constantly involved in positive things, they don’t allow themselves time to indulge in negative emotions.

11. Living within means.

Wealthy people avoid overspending. Among many of those struggling financially, some are living above their means. They spend more than they earn, live from paycheck to paycheck and are drowning in credit-card debt. If this is you, resolve today to turn things around for you and your family.

12. Reading daily.

Many successful people read 30 minutes or more every day. Reading can increase your knowledge and know-how. When you read, often you are seeking to improve yourself. This automatically sets you apart from your counterparts. You will stand out from the competition.

13. Limiting TV watching.

Did you know that many successful people limit the amount their TV time to one hour or less a day? How much time do you lose in front of the television that you could be spending doing something more productive?

14. Doing more than what’s required.

Successful people regularly go above and beyond the call of duty at work. Even if something is not in their job description, they will volunteer to do it. Wealthy people make themselves invaluable. As an entrepreneur, you may not have a boss. But in what ways do you go above and beyond for your clients? How do you wow them?

15. Talking less and listening more.

When you listen, you learn. And as the adage goes, that’s why people have two ears and one mouth. When you take the time to really pay attention to what another person is saying, it can truly help not only you but your bottom line as well. When you listen, you are in a better position to help others.

16. Not giving up.

Don’t give up when the going gets tough. Successful people hang in there. They pivot. They try something new. They persist. They may have to change their direction, but they keep moving forward.

17. Spending time with like-minded ones.

There’s a saying that goes, “Show me who your friends are and I’ll show you who you are.” I believe that. People are only as successful as those they choose to surround themselves with. Good associations can help you more quickly achieve your goals.

18. Finding a mentor.

Many people who have had a mentor have attributed their success to that person. Mentors can help you achieve your goals faster and keep you accountable. They can share valuable experience that can cut your learning time in half.

19. Knowing your why.

When you know why you’re doing something, you will get what you want quicker than if you don’t. Having a purpose is essential to being successful in business and in life. Why do you want to be successful? Why do you really want to be wealthy?

20. Not giving fear the upper hand.

Everyone has fears. Successful people don’t allow their fears to limit or define them. Fear inevitably keeps you in the same position and stunts your growth. Recognize your fears and seek ways to overcome them. Interview someone you admire and ask that person how he or she overcame a fear or pick up an autobiography and take notes.

21. Upgrading skills.

If you want to get ahead, there’s only one way to do it: Become better at something than you are today. What’s the one thing you can focus on for the next 30 days that will catapult you to rock-star status in your industry? Focus your attention on that. I heard John Lee Dumas from Entrepreneur on Fire define “FOCUS” like this: Follow one course until success. Will you?

Make a Commitment

To Finish Strong Every Month in 2019

Make a commitment

Make a commitment to finish strong every month in 2019. Do it for yourself and you’ll grow your business to infinity.

As I was purging files today here in my home today, Saturday, February 2, I thought about how happy I was to know that I finished out the first month of January 2019 super strong.

I am happy to share with you that I accomplished every single goal on my daily/weekly and monthly to do list for the month of January. I was determined and committed to do something different every day and I did just that.

With dreams of leveraging, propelling and succeeding in business better than ever this year, I worked from sun up to almost sun up again, loving and enjoying every second working towards building my dynasty.

Here’s the thing; I love all that I do. I love the designing aspect of my business as well as the writing component of my business. I have written, in detail, all that I plan to achieve this year. In my cell phone I have pages of notes pertaining to my business goals and you should too.

Make a commitment

You should have a pen and journal by your bed so that when an idea flows into the creative side of your mind, no matter the time, you can write them down immediately so that you never lose that bright bulb moment.

If you want to grow your business and you have mustard seed faith, you can take your business to a completely new place into a whole new space that you yourself have the ability to create.

You should be focused on ways to grow your business and making sales every day. This is your business and this is what you love to do. This is exactly why I don’t mind staying up late when my house is quiet and my guys are sound asleep. I find myself in a therapeutic place of peace creating and designing.

Here are some ways that you can take your business to new heights:

  • Write down your thoughts as they come to you. Use them wisely and apply your knowledge.
  • Plan out what you have written down making it a goal you can easily achieve.
  • Make it plain, crystal clear and easy to understand.
  • If it’s a small goal, set a deadline for yourself; date and time.
  • If it’s a large goal then go with the best solution in terms of when you want to attain it and how you can implement it into your business to take the next step to ensure your success.
  • Incorporate this new goal into your business and plan to accomplish it with confidence and faith in your skill set and great abilities.

If this goal requires you setting up another website, as it may be an extension to your existing business, be sure that you use the right platform for your business. This will be a part of your plan as you make a commitment to finish strong.

WordPress is an awesome platform great as is Weebly. They both offer great features. WordPress has all the tools and resources you’ll ever need to build an amazing looking website. They have a ton of free themes to choose from. Weebly is spectacular too. It all depends on what it is you’re planning to do in terms of your business.

Both are really great platforms. Please know that WordPress has a very steep learning curve, but if you’re savvy in building websites, then you can do this easily, not quickly, but fairly easily and be on your way to inviting visitors to your website.

Remember, you’ll want to get traffic flowing into your site in order to make sales. You can do this by blogging. Blogging is a terrific way to drive traffic to your website.

Make a commitment

Today, I want you to make a commitment to finish every month strong in 2019. This will help you to stay focused on your goals. It will also ensure that your business thrives and stays afloat because as you know, things in this world, change from one second to the next. So be sure that you keep up with all of these changes by being your authentic self and doing what you love and by doing what you were created to do.

I hope that you are enjoying working your Christian-based business Women of Excellence and being a blessing to women and young girls who are elated to walk in your footsteps. I also hope that you will make a commitment to finish every month strong in 2019.

May God continue to bless the works of your hands.

Be blessed,

Cynthia G. Boyer

How To Write A Blog for Your Online Store

How to write a blog that generates not only traffic, but also sales, for your eCommerce or online store?

Is it even possible?

Maybe you’ve tried your hand at blogging and heard crickets!

Maybe you’ve labored over a blog post and felt that it’s just TOO hard.

Maybe you’ve thought about starting or writing a blog but you already have a million things on your plate.

How can you write and maintain a blog that brings readers and results?

In 5 easy steps.

Read on to find out what they are and how you can use them right away!

How to write a blog

How to Write a Blog for Your Online Store… in 5 Easy Steps

Step 1: Create a List of Topics Your Customers Want to Know More About

Start by first making a list of all the possible topics your customers want to know more about.

If you sell t-shirts, for example, they may love to know more about fashion trends, how to wear t-shirts to work and get away with it, how to add a custom feel to a mass produced t-shirt and so on.

If you make handmade jewelry, customers may want to know about accessorizing tips, how to care for jewelry, how to wear jewelry without going over the top, and so on.

You get the picture, right?

Sometimes, the questions your customers may have or want answers to would have nothing to do with your core business. They would be related to what you do.

How do you find out what questions your customers have?

  • Study the emails you get and identify common questions in them.
  • Hang around in forums, groups and on blogs where your ideal customer is. Listen {in a non-stalkerish!} way to their conversations. What are they asking about?
  • Survey your customers. Yes, send them out and email asking them what are some of their frustrations with {insert name of niche} and what would they like to know more about it.

Once you have this list of questions, it’s just a matter of creating topics from them and putting them into an editorial calendar.

You don’t need anything fancy. An excel sheet with dates and days can be enough. The idea behind this is for your to plugin your topics on a regular schedule so you can batch writing your posts and stay ahead of the curve.

Say, you come with only 12 topics. Don’t worry. At 1 post a week, you’ll have enough content for 3 months. See?

Step 2: Write Your Post

The next step is writing your post. I recommend batch writing your posts. As online store owners, we have a lot on our plate. Fitting in 10 minutes here or 20 minutes there to write a few sentences for your post doesn’t make any sense.

It’s more productive if you schedule say an hour, every Tuesday to write. Block off distractions.

Shut down Facebook and Pinterest. And just open your editorial calendar, check out the topic… and write.

Step 3: Optimize it for Search Engines

Now that you know how to write a blog, your next step is to optimize it for search engines.

While a well-written post will be awesome for your readers, you do want it to be found by search engines too, right? That will ensure that your content gets picked up by targeted customers easily!

How can you get started with optimizing your content? What tools do you need? Would you need to fork out hundreds of dollars for them?

I know. I can hear those questions whirling around in your head.

Luckily, for you, we have rounded up the best FREE SEO tools to make this job easier.

Step 4: Drive Traffic to the Post

Now that you’ve published your post, you need to drive traffic to it. Luckily, you can automate this part, too.

Once your post is published, fire up a social media scheduler like Buffer and set up the post to be shared on social networks automatically. I’d recommend sharing it all through the week at different intervals.

Next, copy the first half of the post, plug it into your email marketing system, personalize it, add a subject line and whiz it away to your list.

Step 5: Rinse-and-Repeat

The final step is to rinse-and-repeat the 4 steps above. Before you know it, you’ll be blogging like a pro and enjoying the attention that your blog is getting and best of all, the sales that it’s driving up.

So, there you go… your 5-step guide on how to write a blog that brings sales for your online store.
